Wilder Design Co. is a Los Angeles-based design studio, founded by friends Joanna Harrison and Kristina Browngardt. For nearly eleven years they have been growing up, growing families, and growing piles of design books and magazines that threaten to crush them should they fall over. Kristina and Joanna collaborate on residential and commercial spaces, bringing together their strengths in all facets of design with a core, shared aesthetic, that emphasizes function, warmth, beauty and a touch of custom. Jojo and Kikis are super excited to offer interior services both in-home and through e-design that reflects their collective desire to create spaces that are functional and beautiful, but also represent the intimate taste of the people within.

Kristina Browngardt has design in her DNA. As a child she napped under her architect father's desk, head upon a carpet sample; after a full day of tucking her barbies in with fabric swatches discarded by her mother, an interior decorator. It seemed a forgone conclusion that she would follow in her parent's footsteps, as her sister and brother had done. But Kristina was happy to simply run her father's firm and focus on marketing and bookkeeping. She was going to be sensible, she was going to blaze her own path, she was going to...eventually succumb to the reality that she was also completely obsessed with design. Interiors, specifically, it's an obsession and possibly a genetic mutation.

Joanna Harrison has always been an observer; a watcher of people and details. She grew up in the foothills of the San Gabriel valley, drawing in the grass and obsessively watching episodes of This Old House. After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design from Art Center in 2007, she started working at TOMS as a graphic designer, following a desire to do work that made a difference. Since then she has held roles as Visual Merchandising Manager, Senior Retail Designer and Associate Art Director. But it was her time working as Senior Retail Designer that awoke her long forgotten hours of bliss, watching Bob Villa transform run down homes into new, rich spaces again. After the birth of her son this year, Joanna wished TOMS fond farewell to embark on a bold new chapter in her design career with Wilder Design Co.
